After a win at Hull on Wednesday, Frank Lampard has expressed his desire to get back on track at Stamford Bridge against Sunderland tomorrow.

Our incredible unbeaten league run on home soil came to an end after 86 games against Liverpool last weekend, and follows on the back of draws against Tottenham and Manchester United at the Bridge.

The midfielder believes now is the time to improve our form at home, and become as consistent as we have been on our travels. He sees no reason why this cannot be done.

'We've had tough games at home, it's been disappointing but there are no problems playing at home, and we've had great support,' he began.

'We're all very professional and want to be winners. Losing the home record is something I'm personally not too concerned about.'

That is a sentiment that echoes the thoughts of manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, who insists medals and trophies are more impressive than records. Lampard agrees.

'It's a question of not dwelling on Sunday and we don't want a hangover of that. It's important to get straight back. In the long term losing a home game is not important if you go on to win the league, so it's very important we don't let it get to us,' said the 30-year-old.

'People make an issue of it but we're three points behind with a lot of games to go.'

Liverpool travel to Tottenham in the late game on Saturday, and by the time they kick-off, we could be back on top of the league with a win against Sunderland.

While acknowledging the Reds' improvement this season, Lampard believes that come May, we will be challenging.

'They're definitely stronger than they have been in previous years, they've spent lots of money in the last couple of years and we all suspected they would be stronger this year,' he said of Rafa Benitez's side. 'They keep getting results, but whether they can keep doing it remains to be seen.

'In the past few years we have been there or thereabouts, and have had so many issues to deal with, we changed manager last year, have had multiple injuries and we have still been there or thereabouts.

'With a bit of luck if we don't get so many problems this year [we can do it]. We have a lot of strength in depth and that's the key.'

It is something that has certainly come in handy with a list of absentees that would make an impressive team sheet.

Thankfully, Lampard has not been on that list, and is currently in some of the best form of his career.

'I'm around my best, whether it's as good as I've played at times before I don't know, but I feel very confident and am fortunate to be playing in a team with great players around me who help me,' he said.

If he can keep that form going on Saturday, a home win looks likely.
