ENJOY ROMA TRIP

Chelsea has issued the following guidelines for fans who are travelling to Rome for the Champions League group match against Roma on Tuesday.

We would ask all fans for their patience and understanding in the Italian capital, especially if dealing with the local police as methods of policing differ from England.

Full details of guidelines are available on the Foreign and Commonwealth website.

Chelsea supporters will be located in sections 50, 51, and 52 accessed via the entrance "Distinti Nord Ovest" of the Stadio Olimpico. The stadium will open at 6.30pm. Get there as early as you can - allocated seating won't apply so early arrivals will get the best seats.

The Rome Police strongly recommend that you DO NOT make your way to the stadium on foot. A shuttle service will be available from 5.00pm, at Pzle. delle Canestre in Villa Borghese in Rome to take you to the stadium and these will also be available at the end of the match to take you back to the centre of Rome.

Take your passport or other photo ID with you, alcohol is banned from the stadium and at the end of the match Chelsea supporters will be held back for about one hour.

There will be restrictions on the sale of alcohol in Rome the day before the game and on the day of the game and very heavy fines are imposed for anyone caught defacing monuments or entering any fountains in the city.

Have a safe trip.
