Frank Lampard, scorer of arguably the Chelsea goal of the season so far on Wednesday night, has now fulfilled one of his ambitions for the season.
The midfield goal machine rates his deft chip over Hull keeper Boaz Myhill as up there among his previous favourites - his shot on the turn against Bayern Munich in 2005 and his tight-angle finish in Barcelona in 2006 - and he gave his first reaction to the latest strike to Chelsea TV.
'I have tried a few chips this season,' he said, recalling a saved effort against Tottenham.
'I was determined to get one this season but I didn't think it would come from my left foot.
'It gave me a lot of pleasure this one. I was going to smash it but being on my left foot, I decided to try something different.
'I caught it bang on, just how I wanted to. I try that sort of thing a lot in training. Occasionally it drops into the goalkeeper's hands but this one, as soon as I hit it it felt good.'
