BUET WINS PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Chelsea Ladies' midfielder Danni Buet has won the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Player of the Month Award for September.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Blues from Arsenal in 2007, has played a crucial part in the Ladies' unbeaten run at the beginning of the season.

An England international, Buet's performances have helped the Ladies reach second place in the league, after winning five and drawing one of the first six games of the season.

'It has been a fantastic start to the season for Danni and she really deserves the award,' said Peter Hough, chairman of the FA Tesco Women's Premier League.

'She doesn't turn 20 until the end of October and for a young girl has displayed a maturity beyond her years in a crucial area of the pitch for Chelsea.

'I'm sure she'll continue to develop as a player and go from strength to strength,' added Hough.

The Player of the Month Award was decided by nominations from clubs in the Premier League and England coaching staff.
